Most Bolt & Nut may be small parts but without them many bigger parts could not be held together to form a certain structure. They may be insignificant in terms of weight of the whole structure but without them, the whole structure could not be formed.
It is believed that the thread was invented arrounc 400 BC while threaded bolt dates back to around the 15th century. However, not untuil the industrial revolution in the 18th century that the development of bolt & nut been sped up significantly. Now, bolt & nut has become an important component in the engineering and construction.
The growing demand for threaded fasteners necessitate the speeding up of the production process, hence the development of modern fastener manufacturing equipment for their mass production. Modern manufacturing plant of threaded fasteners in Indonesia started durng the 1960's with the introduction of Japanese fastener making machineries Later on , Taiwanese made fastener machineries were introduced more and more into the Indonesian fastener manufacturing companies.
PT. Jawa Metalindo Prima Industri, located in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, was established in the year 2000. It's establishment was to complement and add capacity to the production of PT Timur Megah Steel, to meet the burgeoning demand for fasteners both domestic and export.
